Why Custom Transfers?
When manufactured and applied correctly, transfers are every bit as durable as direct screen printing. Meaning that they wash and wear just as well as your direct screened print. Plus you can often get better image results from transfers then from screen printing. When you print on a piece of paper, your using a more stable printing surface then say the fabric of a T-shirt. This lends itself to more consistent higher quality images.

In addition to be being as durable as direct screen printing, transfers also have a number of other benefits. For one, since you'll only be stocking the transfers, your inventory costs will be reduced. With direct screening you'd need to keep "X" number of printed garments sitting on your shelves waiting to be sold. Now you'd just be keeping a stack of transfers and you can order your garments and apply as needed. By using transfers, you're only up front costs will be for the transfers themselves. If you should run out of transfers, reorders on 1-2 color transfers can be made available in one to two days.

Another benefit to transfers is that you can gang a number of different designs together that share similar colors on one sheet. This way you can get more for your money. Even if you don't use them right away, if properly, stored transfers have a fantastic shelf life. The typical shelf life is in excess of 5 years.

Finally, transfers offer a variety of different decorating techniques which direct screening doesn't. From simple one color designs to photo realistic images, from matte colors to vibrate colors that pop off the shirt, and from glitter to foil, transfers go above beyond direct screening.

Thats why we have hot-split inks. A hot-split option offers a softer feel. The texture is on par with direct screening plus you get all the benefits stated above.

Spot-Color Transfers
Our custom spot-color transfers are of the highest quality and are created using the finest inks. Whether your order calls for a 1,000 pieces or 100,000 pieces, our attention to detail as each color is laid down separately, enables us to retain the same high standards with every transfer. With the addition of our special additive, our spot color transfers are applicable to all types of material including nylon and stretch fabrics. Once manufactured, each design is cut and packed to your specifications. Opaque inks ensure that our transfers work with any dark colored materials. Spot color transfers are available in a variety of different types.

Cold Peel Transfers: once applied with a heat press, the transfer paper is removed when it feels cool to the touch. The transfer has a slightly rubbery texture and can feature either a matte or glossy finish. Examples of cold peel transfer include glitter, shimmer and puff transfers.

Hot Peel Transfer: once applied with a heat press, the transfer paper is removed immediately while still hot. The transfer has a slightly softer feel then its cold peel counterpart. Hot peel transfers feature a matte finish and feature a look and feel that is more in line with a directly screened image.

Hot Split or Split Inks: similar to a hot peel transfer once applied with a heat press, the transfer paper is removed immediately while still hot. A majority of the ink will transfer to the garment while a small percentage will remain on the paper. Hot split transfers feature a soft texture along with a matte finish.

Litho Transfers/Four-Color Process Transfers
Litho and four-color process enables us to create any image as a heat seal transfer. Even the most subtle of details can be recreated. From colors that blend to shadows, and half-tones, this technique can give your design the details you're looking for. You can even add glitter to give your transfers a truly unique look. With optional application instructions printed on the back of each design, your four-color process transfer can be tailored for the home-use market. Litho and four-color process transfers are printed on an offset press and a majority of the cost associated with them is upfront. The prepress work is always the same regardless of whether you print one transfer or one million. Therefore the higher the quantity the more inexpensive the transfer since that upfront cost is being spread among the large quantity.

In addition to creating transfers rich in detail, you can also print a variety of different designs with different colors on one single sheet in one shot. With litho and four-color process transfers the customer is free to provide the necessary color separations and match print or will provide the same for an additional cost.
